Sorry guys but my laptop is currently dead and in for repairs so no posts for the foreseeable future! I saved up some money for a tablet so this could be my excuse to finally buy one??? I really want a windows 8 tablet, the interface is SO COOL! I had a windows phone which I adored but sadly I dropped it down the toilet when I was drunk and killed it (oops)
Let me know if you want me to do any kind of posts like "how I wear ___ " or whatever

Valentine's day meal
Heeeeeeey this isn't a proper outfit post as the dress I originally ordered for valentine's day didn't fit properly so I had to go with what was clean in my wardrobe, which ended up being this black, crochet skater dress from Topshop. I had never had my boyfriend take photos of me before hence the weird photo as we were both goofing around so much! There's only one photo because the rest of the were even more ridiculous.....
It's a really simply dress that I found in the sale last year, but it's such a good dress for throwing on if you don't know what else to wear. I matched it with some simple jewellery - the rings from Kukee I featured in this blog post and also some silver earrings with green gemstones. Despite the rubbish weather, I wanted to wear my new cut out shoes from Primark (via ebay). They're so cute, but totally useless in the rain. I had very very wet feet after walking from the restaurant to a bar with my boyfriend.

The cut out bits are so adorable and now I definitely need to go and buy some new socks, as I only seem to own sports socks or knitted socks from my mum!

Ps, I had the silent room in the library to myself today so I put on this song and had a little boogie! Nothing like some 80s tunes as a blogging soundtrack!

An experimental post...
If you follow me on tumblr, you'll probably already know that I love music nearly as much as I love my clothes! I play a bunch on instruments and am almost constantly listening to music and trying to find new things to listen to. Being up in Aberdeen is very frustrating as there is a very small music scene here as opposed to the enormous scene I'm used to back in Glasgow! Last weekend, I took a trip back to Glasgow to visit my parents and I went to my favourite music store - Fopp. Fopp is a chain which I think is managed by HMV but is a lot more reasonably priced than HMV and is purely for music, books and dvds and not games. I picked up a few things when I was there wooohoooo
I got two vinyls, although admittedly one was actually from amazon, but it arrived in the post at the same time. Listening to vinyl is something I love to do as the quality of the sounds, although not as clear as MP3 sounds awesome and warm and fuzzy and it just perfect for horrible winter days like we have just now.
I got this cd by Paper Aeroplanes as I'm going to see them in february and I decided I wanted a hardcopy of their music. I nearly never buy cds these days, only vinyl and mp3, so it was a nice little change. I got that nice warm feeling when I lent it to my flatmates, sharing is caring!
As well as music, the books in Fopp are unbelievably cheap, with most for 2 for £5!!!!!!! With exams and uni deadlines, I haven't been able to read properly in a while but I bought American Psycho to try and encourage me to start reading for pleasure again.
and FINALLY I also got this Coco Chanel DVD for only £3. (Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky). I'm yet to watch it but I'm very excited as Igor Stravinsky is one of my favourite composers, so it managed to cross THREE of my favourite things (fashion, music and cinema)
I hope you like this post, I thought I might branch out from fashion and style posts completely to other things I'm passionate about. Let me know what you think in comments!!

Gingham and leather
As my sister has been telling me for weeks, gingham is a must for s/s14. I have been waiting for this for what seems my whole life as ever since I was in primary school, I wanted to wear my gingham summer dress all year round. I just discovered last week though that it's much harder to style gingham for adults without looking like a big baby (sob sob sob). After weeping over the whitepepper's gingham shirt and it's £45 price tag, I tore myself away from it and bought this gorgeous little cropped gingham top from Topshop.
I adore the boxy style, it's so adorable! In order to not look "bigbaby" ish in my gingham top, I paired it with this quilted leather skirt from Primark which was only £5 - boom!!! The leather adds a tougher element, which takes from the little checks and gives an alternative look to the otherwise cute design.
Top - Topshop, Skirt - Primark, shoes - newlook
I got these boots last week in New Look for only £25 with my student discount - what a bargain. I wanted to do a monocrome look and these are perfect for that. I've also noticed loads of bloggers wearing black shoe with a chunky white sole so I was quick to snap these little beauties up for myself. I've worn the shoes on two nights out now and they're unbelievably comfy and cushioned my feet all night long :) They need a good scrub now though, as they are little worse for wear.....
I just went back to uni yesterday but I'm so unbelievably excited for next year as I found out I'm going to be an au pair in the centre of Paris!!! I can't imagine a more perfect way to spend my year.
I hope you are all having a lovely tuesday :)

Spring wishlist
So as per usual, Topshop has got me lusting over so many things. I think everything on this list in from Topshop apart from the Essie nailpolish which is available on amazon.co.uk and the Chelsea boots, which are from asos.com.
I am totally in love with gingham but I don't quite know how to wear it without looking like a tablecloth or a little girl going to school. This skort is quirky and structured enough to overcome both of those things which is perfect. I need to snap it up fast as I think it will be going quickly! Pastel blues and greens are my personal favourite for spring and summer. My flatmate always makes fun of me because whenever we go shopping for summer clothes, I always come away with an armful of green things and nothing to wear them with! This jumper is perfect with the transition from winter to spring as it's cosy enough to keep you warm but bright enough to inject some life and a little bit of summer vitality into your day!
I have been looking for a blazer for ages and ages but I've always been reluctant to buy one as they always give me flashbacks to the horrible blazer I had to wear for school. This Topshop blazer is slouchy and laid back and so easy to just throw on over an outfit so hopefully won't send me spirally back into my school days.
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS WATCH. I think watches may be my weak point. I only have two but I honestly go weak at the knees whenever I see a beautiful watch. I really watch a watch with a leather strap and this white leather one is gorgeous. The face is rose gold which is perfect as I am really into rose gold bracelets at the moment! The watch is from Olivia Burton and it's available online at Topshop.com
Chelsea boots are super popular just now but I think some that are around are just too chunky for me. These asos boots are chunky but also delicate at the same time, which I love!
Sooooo yes, this is definitely what some of my student loan will be going on! Can't wait to hit the shops now!
Love,
Grace
ps, what I'm listening to at the moment is a lot of Paper Aeroplanes. They're a cute little welsh band and I'm going to see them in a couple of weeks! This is one of my favourite songs of theirs. :)

Studying survival pack.
So I finally finally finished my exams and now I can finally start posting! A couple of weeks ago, studying was really getting me down as I was in the library form 9am until 10pm and I had no time to myself! So I ordered a little study survival pack of affordable jewellery and a gorgeous little magazine just to maintain the motivation to keep studying everyday.
Kukee is a small online jewellery shop that I heard about through Amy Valentine's december haul video (which can be found here).
All their pieces are super affordable at most things under £5 and all silver and gold plated which is such good value! I ordered a set of midi rings, a knotted love ring (which I got because it looks like a pretzel!!!!) a gold chevron ring and a gorgeous pair of earrings(not pictured) all for £12.50! what a bargain! What's more, the lovely folks at kukee sent me an open double banded silver midi ring too, which I wear on my middle finger because I think it looks nicer not as a midi ring :) (apologies for my nails, I haven't had time to even get dressed in the morning recently, let alone paint my nails)

The second part of my study survival pack was a copy of Oh Comely. For those who haven't heard of it, Oh Comely is a cute lifestyle magazine that is packed full of quiet and happy moments which is perfect to read with a cup of tea as a lovely little study break. The magazine comes out every two months for the very affordable of about £4. You can order it on their website here
I'm going shopping in Glasgow this weekend with some left over vouchers I got for my birthday so I'll have an outfit post ready soon for you guys.

Please don't go, I love you so
Hiiiiiiiiiii there! I've been really rubbish at keeping this blog thing going recently but I'm going to try again now. January is my least favourite month because it's still so dark and horrible plus it's filled with awful exams! I've been pretty bad after christmas trying to cheer myself up with shopping so here's a wee outfit to show you guys!
skort - Ebay, Top - Zara, Necklace - H&M, Boots - Urban Outfitters via a charity shop.
I absolutely adore this skort. The zara skort was everywhere this summer, but for some reason I couldn't justify it to myself at all, until I spotted this geometric print skort on Ebay one day for only £8! What a winner wooo! The top I snapped up in the Zara sale as I am a suck for tops with any cut out, see-through detail on them.
Sorry about the quality of the photos, I recently got a new camera and I'm not quite sure how to use it and I forgot to install the editting software before I left for uni again!
Hope everyone had a very happy new year
